EMPAQUES DE CARTON UNITED is founded for the purpose of manufacturing paper and cardboard boxes.

1958  

CELULOSAS MAIRO is legally incorporated for the purpose of manufacturing cellulose from sugar cane and wood, the most important raw materials for paper production.

1959  

EMPAQUES MODERNOS SAN PABLO is inaugurated in Tlalnepantla, in the State of Mexico, for the purpose of manufacturing semikraft paper, corrugated cardboard boxes and solid fiber.

1963  

CELULOSAS MAIRO is legally reorganized and consolidated to specialize in the manufacture and design of corrugated cardboard boxes and solid fiber.

1984  

EMPAQUES MODERNOS DE GUADALAJARA is created to cover the demands of customers on the Pacific coast.

1995  

To fill the need for a reliable supplier of top quality printed materials and services, the division of Flexographic loose plates, pre-mounted plates and die-cuts is created, with one-of-a-kind equipment and systems throughout Latin America, such as rotogravure laser cylinders, laser cutting and digital Flexographic loose plates.

1999  

EMPAQUES PLEGADIZOS MODERNOS, the group’s newest and most modern factory, is created with state-of-the-art technology for processing folding containers, which has quickly allowed us to be positioned at the forefront in the sector.

2006  

Grupo Gondi, responding to the ever-changing needs of the market, starts operations of one of the most modern paper machines in Mexico, located at the EMPAQUES MODERNOS DE GUADALAJARA production plant.

Additionally, the RESEARCH CENTER is put into operation in support of the Packing Development Department, with the most advanced quality testing in Latin America.

2007

 

The production of labels is started at plant No. 3, EMPAQUES PLEGADIZOS MODERNOS.
